We drive to the Khao Yai National Park, the biggest in Thailand with a lot of wildlife, a.o. tigers and elephants. We do a nature walk through a fantastic, scenic area which will give you a marvellous impression of the jungles natural vegetation and wildlife. We will take lunch at the watch tower in an open area. The next point is the Haew Suwat, one of the largest waterfalls in the Khao Yai National Park. If you like, you can swim in the natural pool below the waterfall, or just relax in this beautiful oasis. Here parts of the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo di Caprio have been filmed and visit the water fall where the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo di Caprio has been filmed. Now we are on the way to Khao Kiaw viewpoint, the highest point of the park which is 1188 m above sea level. Here we will watch the most beautiful sunset across Khao Yai. Instead of going to the hotel we can do an optional tour (depending on the weather and permission from the park), in this case we will start with our night tour through mountain forests and grasslands. From the car, the nocturnal animal world is illuminated by special halogen lights. Many species of deer, cats, wild bear, and porcupines, and with a bit of luck, elephants at the salt licks can be observed. Arrival at the lodge around 21.00h

Day 5 (B)
After breakfast you have some time to relax before we bring you to the train station where you take the train to back to Ayutthaya. Upon arrival in Ayutthaya you take a local taxi to the Uthong Inn hotel where you will stay tonight. From here it is very easy to arrange your own tour in Ayutthaya, we advice to either rent a bicycle (make sure you ask the reception for a good map) or a tuk tuk who knows the city well.

Day 6 (B)
We reserved tickets for you for the express aircon train that leaves Ayutthaya at 08.00 h, be there at least 15 minutes before departure. See the remains of this ancient capital with its beautiful temples and lotus ponds. After that you return to the bus where your driver has been waiting for you and he will bring you back to the train station of Phitsanulok where you take the train to Chiang Mai. At the beginning of the evening you arrive in Chiang Mai and we will transfer you to the nice Tadkham Village.

The ride takes you through some of the lovely forest scenery and along the river. You will come back to the elephant camp by oxcart. After lunch take a bamboo raft trip down the river, admire the scenery and absorb the tranquility as you float down the river. Then drive back to Chiang Mai in the afternoon
