Chiang Mai Bicycle Tours

Experience the Thai countryside by bicycle. Starting point is Chiang Mai, the "Rose of the North" We pick you up from your hotel and transfer you by car to a small traditional village in Doi Saket district, about 20 minutes north east of Chiang Mai.

The highlight of the tour is cruising along small countryside roads with hardly any traffic stopping at interesting local sights without having to worry about city traffic. We will pass through traditional villages with wooden houses on stilts, ride along small roads through the rice fields and stop at a lake surrounded by beautiful mountains. Encounters like water buffalos crossing the street or children surprised by the unusual sight of foreigners in their village are to be expected.

Reliable bicycles are very important. Therefore we use Trek bicycles with 24 gears. All are in excellent condition and we have men and lady frames in different sizes as well as children’s bicycles. We recommend the use of a safety helmet which you can borrow from us.

All our tours will be lead by our tour guides who are licensed by the TAT (Tourist Authority Thailand). They are experienced cyclists and have their own tips, nice stops, view points and local contacts in the villages. These are the real highlights of your trip.

Total distance of the tour is 30 kilometers of which 99 % along paved country roads. We focus on sightseeing, therefore our tours are suitable for everybody in reasonable shape. Start is every day at 08.00 AM, 10.00 AM and 1.00 PM from the lobby of your hotel, back 5 hours later.Minimum age for participants is 10 years old.

Families with younger children are welcome but only on a private tour basis since we designed a special tour for them. We have bicycles for children from 6 years old and also trailers for smaller
children.

Tours are all-in which means transport from your hotel and back, bicycle rent, English speaking guide, soft drinks, local lunch, accident insurance
